Published 4 November 2025

Gentari has announced key leadership appointments to further accelerate its growth and operational excellence across its clean energy businesses, effective 1 November 2025.

Shah Yang Razalli has been appointed as Group Chief Operating Officer and Country Head, Gentari Malaysia, succeeding his previous roles as Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Green Mobility Officer. In his new role, Shah will oversee Gentari’s operational performance, business integration and project delivery across its core markets, with a focus on strengthening Malaysia’s role as a hub for regional expansion.

With over 25 years of experience in PETRONAS and three years in Gentari, Shah brings extensive expertise in project management, business strategy, innovation and international operations. He was instrumental in the establishment of Gentari as PETRONAS’ clean energy arm and has since led the rapid expansion of its Green Mobility business across Malaysia, India and Thailand – positioning Gentari as a leading enabler of electric mobility in Asia Pacific.

At the same time, Fadzrul Ahmad has been appointed as Chief Green Mobility Officer, taking over the leadership of Gentari’s Green Mobility business from Shah. Fadzrul previously served as Head of Integrated Strategy and Portfolio Management, where he led the development of Gentari’s integrated strategy, corporate planning and investment portfolio management.

In his new capacity, Fadzrul will oversee Gentari’s Green Mobility operations across all markets, driving strategic growth in electric vehicle (EV) charging and innovative mobility solutions. He will continue to expand Gentari’s role as a regional clean mobility provider, accelerating adoption through technology integration, ecosystem partnerships and customer-centric business models.

Since joining Gentari, Fadzrul has been instrumental in shaping the company’s long-term direction, including driving strategy and portfolio shaping across all three of Gentari’s verticals, country plans and shaping the Decarbonisation as a Service (DaaS) initiative. His strategic insight and leadership will help position Gentari Green Mobility for its next phase of scale and innovation.

These appointments mark an important step in strengthening Gentari’s leadership bench as we continue to scale across our core businesses. Both Shah and Fadzrul have been instrumental in shaping Gentari’s journey from its inception. Their leadership will be key as we drive the next phase of growth towards becoming the most valued clean energy solutions partner by 2030.

Together, they reflect Gentari’s ongoing commitment to building a strong, diverse leadership team to deliver integrated clean energy solutions across Renewable Energy, Hydrogen and Green Mobility, accelerating real-world progress towards a cleaner energy future for Asia Pacific.
